Finally! When Hounds Fly is pleased to offer dog training classes and private dog training lessons in Markham, in partnership with The Paw Social, Markham’s premier home-style daycare facility.
United by our common values of using humane, evidence-based training and behaviour change techniques to our companion dogs, we are looking forward to helping Markham pet guardians strengthen the relationship they have with their pups starting Fall 2024!
Foundation Skills – Who’s This For?
- Your dog is 16 weeks or older
- Your dog is not overly anxious or reactive to other dogs or people
- Your dog has received their final booster shot and/or rabies vaccine
- You want your dog to eventually take advanced classes such as Tricks, Scent Detection, Foundation Skills Level 2, etc.
- Your pup is turning into a teenager, and want to get ahead of selective listening, pulling on leash, jumping on people, or not recalling
- You have a new rescue dog of any age, and are looking to build their confidence and trust in you as the foundation for your developing relationship

Meet Your Instructor: Hu Wang, CPDT-KA, KPA CTP
Hu Wang is a Senior Instructor and Team Lead at When Hounds Fly. He joined our team in 2018 and has taught thousands of hours of group classes and private lessons since that time, making him one of our most experienced instructors.
He graduated from the Karen Pryor Academy for Animal Training and Behaviour under Laurie Luck in 2016, and also is a Certified Professional Dog Trainer, Knowledge Assessed (CPDT-KA). Learn more about our methods here.

Hu lives in Scarborough with his wife, Sheila, and their Vizsla/Beagle mix, Bear.
